Why become a member of AMPO? Founded by a group of outdoor enthusiasts, AMPO associates have an actual say (vote) in the direction of how their moneys are spent and what is in the best interest nationwide for individuals and groups who love the outdoors.
AMPO is designed to have a handle on what the prospectors, miners, treasure hunters, gem collectors and rock hounds want in all parts of this Nation of Ours. A non-profit like ours is under the direction of the public, not a small group of owners. The CEO or President will always have to follow the vote and direction of the officers. Annual membership dues are $60.00/year. As a charitable corporation with a 501(c)(3) IRS tax status, your annual membership dues are treated as a donation and are fully tax deductible.

- Training on how to use equipment for finding of Precious metals like Gold, with metal detectors, gold and gem dredges, stream sluices, Power Sluices, Dry Washers.
- Keep abreast of what you can use and where and when you are allowed to use it.

- Attend Special Events with seminars, guest speakers and Sponsored Coin and Treasure hunts.
- Locations to prospect and improve your skills finding Precious metals such as GOLD and other gems and minerals.
- Come alone or bring your family to Organized Outings where others and their families with your same interest can hone your skills, learn about skills of others and have a good time.
- A chance to help others find out how important it is for the young at heart to have a place outside of the city to enjoy what our country has to offer.
- Have fun with others and their families on single or multiple-day outing trips to our local or distant locations.

How do I become a member? There are 2 ways to join AMPO:
- Apply on-line using our Secure Application Form. Once you complete the on-line application form, you may pay your annual membership dues using a major credit card, or you can mail us a personal check or money order.
